Registrologie

When a couple's registry is looking depleted, I usually pick them up something from my favorite, favorite, favorite store, Anthropologie. It's so easy to find something whimsical and chic there and I'm not going to lie, I appreciate the chance to do a little browsing for myself too (most recent unintended purchase: this number, in kelly green). So it truly boggles my mind that they don't have a wedding registry system. It's just plain wrong.

If you too are an Anthropologie fan, cheer up because where there's a will there's a way. Why not use their wish list option? Let your bridesmaids spread the word and turn your newly married home into a cozy stylish little love nest!

Need to know

Now see here, I'm not going to tell you again all about my borderline-inappropriate feelings for that stationery Disneyland that is Paper Source. Not that I don't want to wax poetic about my retail crush, but there simply isn't enough time. . .the store is hosting three great upcoming wedding events that that you simply must hear about, and you must hear about them now!
First there's The Wedding Tea, Saturday, February 20th, 10 - 11 am. Come and enjoy "a lovely morning of tea and sweet treats" and an up-close-and-personal peek at the Paper Source 2010 Invitation Collection. Tickets are $15 each, attendees receive 10% off of any purchases made that day.

Then there's their Paper Wedding - two days of complimentary DIY stationery sessions Saturday and Sunday, February 20th - 21st. Learn how to dress up an envelope, embellish an invitation and coordinate your wedding favors, table tents and escort cards.

And finally there's Wedding Suites, Thursday March 4, 6-8pm. Wine and cheese will be served - and frankly I don't know why you'd need to know more than that - but if an added incentive is necessary, the Paper Source team will help you create an elegant wedding suite from their collection of invitations, escort cards, table tents and favors. Tickets are $30, attendees will receive 10% off any purchases made that evening.

Phew, ok, you are now free to go about your business.

What do you get when you add 10 - 20 inches of snow on top of 20 - 30 inches of snow? Round two of Snopocolypse. While I prepare for the snoverkill, check out these pics of round one form one of my favorite wedding photographers, Mary Kate McKenna (I call her MK).
Stay warm!

Sweet!

If you're a gal in the know, then I'm sure that whimsical drawing style above looks familiar to you. It hails from Daily Candy of course, and announces their newest project: a weekly e-mail that dishes on all things wedding.

You can expect their signature insider lowdown on goodies geared toward tying the knot. And if that doesn't give you reason enough this will: they've partnered with Crate & Barrel to give away an Ultimate $100,000 Wedding!

I signed up already, have you?
